I love to discover delightful little spots off the beaten track. On my last trip to Madrid, I took an “alternative architecture” route around the Salamanca neighbourhood. I was surprised to find a New York-style café (Waycup Specialty Coffee), whose coffees reminded me of the ones I drink in Germany. It’s a small place, but really charming, and it’s worth stopping by to chat with the owners, two young Ukrainians. My girlfriend, who doesn’t drink coffee, filled up on matcha tea and homemade cookies.
